WARD, CORY ALAIN, 17, of South Louisville passed away Sunday November 25, 2007 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was a junior at DeSales High School and a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Cory was an avid University of Louisville and Indianapolis Colts fan. He loved and cherished life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Anne Ward. He is survived by his mother, Carol Ballinger-Fitzgerald; father, Bill Ward; step father, Dewayne Fitzgerald; step mother, Allison Lawson Vincent; sisters, Sarah, Kim and Stephanie Ballinger; stepbrothers and sisters, Curtis and Desire Calhoun and Cody, Kayla and Cheyenne Fitzgerald; stepgrandparents, C. D. and Juanita Fitzgerald; aunts and uncles, Raymond and Jan Colles, Darren and Missy Lucas, Jeff and Brenda Taylor Michael and Jodie Crowe; cousins, Lauren and Carrie Beth Taylor, Christy Crowe, Allison Colles, and Eric, Alex and Emily Lucas, nieces and nephews, Noah, Aubree, Makenna, and Kaylee; godfather, Jeff Harvey Jr. godmother, Kim Williams; and many close and dear friends. A Mass of celebration for Cory will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3509 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Memorial gifts may be made to the Cory Ward Scholarship Fund at DeSales High School.
