Biography
Chesapeake – Erman “Al” Alexander, 70, the son of the late Charles R. and Nellie H. Alexander, passed away on August 2, 2007. He was retired from the US Navy after 27 years as a PNC(SW) and was a member of Bayside Masonic Lodge 218.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; sons, Charles and wife Nicola and Craig and wife Sherry all of Virginia Beach; daughters, Christina Brown and husband Jimmy, Cynthia Poorman and husband Freddy all of Virginia Beach, Cherie Butt of Norfolk and Corinne Young and husband Tim of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the A.G. Horton Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 – 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, NY, NY 10006.
