Biography
Karen Morgan Arnold, age 53, passed away on January 19, 2008, at her residence in Colorado.
She was born in Lake Charles and was a graduate of Lake Charles High School where she was a member of the Kilties for four years. She then graduated from McNeese State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing and was a member of Chi-Omega Sorority, National Honor Society of Nursing and America Nurses Association. Karen worked as a nursing instructor at Sowela Technical College for 20 years. Preceding her in death was her father, Dan Morgan.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Arnold of Highlands Ranch, Co.; her mother, Anita Morgan of Lake Charles; three sons, Eric Grosze’ of Ft. Worth, Tx., Adam Grosze’ of Nashville, Tn. and Jason Grosze’ of Baton Rouge; one brother, Dan Morgan, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Lake Charles; one sister, Danette Sherwood and husband, Chip of Highlands Ranch, Co.; her in-laws, Dr. George Arnold and Patricia Arnold of Lake Charles and Pagosa Springs, Co.; and her children's paternal grandmother, Silvia Schroll of Lake Charles.
Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008, at Victory Worship Center in Sulphur. Rev. Larry LaFleur will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Thursday, January 24, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The visitation will resume at the church on Friday, January 25, from 1 p.m. until time of services.
