Biography

COL. DELBERT J. LIGHT, USAF RET. – passed away May 26, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Katherine “Patty” Light; his daughter, Patricia Walsh and granddaughter, Kati Anne Walsh. Col. Light chose to retire in Spokane, his wife’s hometown area. He was employed by Clark Equipment before finally retiring. During six months of the year he volunteered with the Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum, even driving horses in the parades. He also volunteered with the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ. If he had survived he planned to volunteer with the new Armed Forces Museum in Spokane. A memorial service will be held in his honor Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum, 4823 South 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85714 or Spokane Armed Forces Museum, 5813 E. 4th Ave., Spokane, WA 99001.
