Biography
WAKE FOREST, NC: Mack Norwood Jackson, 76, passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2008. Born on December 13, 1931 in Harnett County; he was the son of the late William and Iola Dean Jackson.
Mack was co-founder and operator of Holly Park Printing in Raleigh until retiring in 2001. If Mack wasn’t working, he was golfing or spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, caring and proud father and a wonderful grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joann Hutchens Jackson; daughter: Terri Pearce and husband Brad, of Atlanta, GA; sons: David Jackson and wife, Pamela, of Raleigh and Todd Jackson, of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren: Amy and Katie Pearce and Ben and Caleb Jackson; sister: Dorothy “Dot” Courtney, of Florida; and by other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Vance, Charles, Judson, John, Sara and Mamie Ruth.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5th from 1-2 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh). Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
