Mrs. Pearl Mae Terry, age 81, of 15 Phillip Vann Drive, Rome, GA, died Sunday morning, May 28, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Terry was born on May 25, 1925, the daughter of the late Bill and Florence Salmon. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the New Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Terry was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Terry, a daughter, Sara Jane Terry, a son, Donald Terry, two brothers, Albert and Junior Salmon, and a sister, Betty Seagle.
Mrs. Terry is survived by three sons, Herman Terry and John Terry, both of Rome, and Robert Terry of Fort Payne, AL; one brother, Gordon Salmon of Tucker, GA. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Terry will be held this (Monday) evening at 6 p.m. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with her Pastor, Rev. John Huffman, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m.
