Biography
Rosser Emil Schwarz, 57, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, in Colorado Springs as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Ross was born in Oak Park, IL, on April 29, 1947, to the late Emil LeRoy and the late Edna Malone Schwarz. He attended schools in Roswell, NM and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably in the Intelligence field.
Ross was chosen as an Outstanding Young Man by the National Jaycee Organization where he worked tirelessly for many years. Ross has a faceted career including, the Emergency Medical field, where he was a certified Advanced Life Support instructor, Law Enforcement and Corrections. He retired from the Colorado Department of Corrections as a Captain after 10 years of service. His hobbies were rebuilding and driving motorcycles and cars and, with his wife, was an avid NASCAR fan and served the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Guthrie-Cordovano), Colorado Springs, CO, and three sons: Rosser LeRoy and Michael Francis Schwarz of Sioux Falls, SD, and Edward Audero Schwarz, Colorado Springs, CO, and a step-son, Mark Andrew Cordovano of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by a sister, Anne (Jay) Johnson of Fort Valley, GA; a nephew, Kai (Sherrie) Brown and their children of Monument, CO; two uncles, Dr. Earl Malone and Mr. Baynard Malone of Roswell, NM, and numerous cousins.
Memorial contributions can be made to the organization of the givers choice. The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, of which Ross was a member, will memorialize Ross with their selected charity-Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The memorial service will be Saturday, April 9, at 1:00pm at Swan-Law Chapel with Reverend Win Brown officiating. Reception will follow after the service. Private Inurnment.
