Services for Kenneth Randell “Randy” Reeves, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Athens, TX. He died Saturday, November 14, 2009 in a Temple hospital.
Randy was born January 8, 1941 in Laurel, MS to Kenneth Harrison Reeves and Lavonia Anderson Reeves. He married Doris Marie Crippen in Ellisville, MS on June 6, 1959. He received a BA in Industrial Business Management from the University of Southern Mississippi. He had previously lived in Laurel and Ellisville, MS, Ukiah, CA, New Philadelphia, OK, Petersburg, VA, and Missouri City, TX before moving to Temple in 1991. He was employed at McLane Company in Management Information Systems from Feb 1991 – Nov 2009. Over the years he served on the board of Deacons at various churches, the school board for the Fort Bend ISD, and was a member of the Temple Rotary Club and a licensed pilot.
Mr. Reeves is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Harrison Reeves.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; three daughters, Donna Lynne Reeves of Houston, Renata Marie Holmen of Temple, Monica Darlene Maciag of Calais, ME; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple.
