The Lord prepared a place in his many mansions for Irving Cash Ervin, age 39. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 14, 1970 to Donald B. and Sharon K. Ervin. Cash entered into his rest May 14, 2009. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Irving Wayne and William Crist and his grandmother, Mary Grace Crist. He is survived by his wife Flo; parents, Don & Sharon; brother, William Gregory Garrett; sisters, Donna Kaye Martin and husband Rickey, Stephanie Grace Garrett; nephews, Cody Nicholas Garrett, Gregory Dylan Garrett, Jack Garrett Gallegos; niece, Jolie Grace Garrett; aunts, Rebecca Halks, Nancy Gilbert and husband Jimmy; cousins, Leslie Stephens, Lisa and Stacy; grandmother, Jo Wayne and his faithful companions Ms. Martha and Crystal. Cash graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1988 and finished ITT Tech, majoring in computer technology and engineering. He also enjoyed working for Chamber Security and Diversified Security companies. In his young life, he overcame leukemia and a brain tumor which left him with memory loss. He loved the water and won medals swimming in the Harmony Hills Summer Leagues, going on to playing golf in high school. Cash truly enjoyed hunting and fishing times with his dad and all the fun times boating and water skiing with his family and playing his guitar. He also loved motorcycles all of his life and that is how his life ended. Otherwise you could always find him at his computer, making the rounds helping others, especially his grandmother. The visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East (between Stone Oak Parkway-Voigt Dr. and Hwy 281). The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. The interment will follow in Mission Burial Park North. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Leukemia Society, 931 Isom Rd., Suite 125, San Antonio, TX 78216. It was Cash's wish to be a organ donor and the family would like to encourage others to think about organ donation.
