Biography

Brenda Van Pelt, 57, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was employed by Bost Human Development as a residential rehabilitative aide and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

Brenda was a devout Christian woman who always shared her faith in the Lord with others. She is now at home in the arms of the Lord with passed family and friends. With all the love and compassion Brenda gave to all in her lifetime, she will be missed dearly. We will remember the way she always put others before herself. She was a beautiful pianist, loved reading and had a contagious smile. She touched the lives of many, and will be loved and thought of forever.

Funeral service will be 10 am Monday, July 6, 2009 at Westwood Baptist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 9 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit friends from 2 – 4 pm.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Van Pelt; one daughter, Karla Deann Van Pelt of the home; one son, James White of Greenwood; her mother, Lula Mae Krippendorf of Little Rock; one sister, Joan Fuhman of Little Rock; two brothers, Bruce Krippendorf of Alexander, AR and Wayne Krippendorf of Benton, AR.

Pallbearers will be Larry Hardman, Wilford Burklow, Ben Horton, Aaron Hargrove, Terry McCorkel, Brad Brown, Bob McNees and Jesse Lindsey.
